Web Hosting....A little advice please?...?

My buddy and I are starting a type of social networking site, and need a hosting service that is incredibly secure (to handle SS #%26#039;s and credit card #%26#039;s)...is that something mosting hosting company%26#039;s offer, or do I need get my own server and do things the hard way? Sorry if this question seems stupid, but we really have no idea of what we%26#039;re doing on the technical side...any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
